    Hi All Does Anyone Have Any Ideas Where I Can Get A Laptop Based Sat Nav System I Have Everything Else Ie Laptop Bluetooth Gps Receiver Etc I Just Need The Software Any Ideas Would Be Appriciated

    Microsoft Streets and Trips is pretty good for maps and directions. Don't know if it does a turn by turn navigation though.

      you talking about general apps such as Microsoft Autoroute, Memory Map (plot routes upfront). If so

        Do you want software that will plan the route for you or OS map based software that you have to set the route manually?
        My other cars a QUAD
        (sv1000spilot on surf forums)

          Ideally Somthing Like Tomtom I Would Like The In 100 Yards Turn Right Facility But The Plan In Advance Would Also Be Useful

              i thought of using an emulator but have read that screen res can be a problem any other ideas guys

                I can send you a copy of the Tom Tom software. I loaded it onto my PDA and used my PDA as a Sat Nav. Worked ok - crashed about once a week though.

                    THANKS MATE I HAVE TOMTOM ON BOTH MY PDA AND PHONE BUT I WANTED IT ON MY LAPTOP AS PLANNING TO TOUR IRELAND IN A COUPLE OF MONTHS IF THE LAPTOP WORKS OUT WILL BE USING IT TO DRIVE ACROSS FRANCE AND GERMANY NEXT YEAR I KNOW ITS NOT QUITE AN EXPEDITION ACROSS AFRICA OR ANYTHING BUT WOULD LIKE TO GET IT WORKING ON THE LAPTOP

                      Autoroute can give directions plus scrolling map. However there's no voice option that I'm aware of.

                              No Mac As The Tomtom Software Is Designed To Run On Ppc Which Is A Type Of Operating System Xp Or Any Other Ms Based O/s Doesnt Know How To Run It
