Yup the 50s 300 SL is at the top of my lst... but they are not exactly in everyone's price range!!!

The DB5 is lovely too, as are the old Jag XK120s... but these are not cheapo classics!

A mate of mine has an E30 M3 and a Delta integrale.. the other days some pikeys knocked on his door and asked if they wanted "that old car" taking for scrap.

Can see Ive opened the floodgates here - so pleased its not just me!
Im struggling to find anything for sale 1960-70s thats automatic - Know its a girly thing - but husband has rebuilt 2 1/2 manual gearboxes of mine...so know he'll prefer an automatic! Think thats why he's looking at stingrays....

If you want something American and auto, look at the '60s Mustangs - much nicer car, probably a little more feminine than a big assed stingray - and I don't mean anything bad about that, just may suit you better....

I once had the opertunity to buy a '69 (my face shape) stingray for a couple fo grand... it wasn't the tidiest out there, but it would have made a great restoration project!

I always think they look suprisingly small... for sometihng american!

Mk 3 Zepher zodiac executive ...straight 6 auto, leather bench seat in the front...and the engine note was just ......whoops I just came allover un nessessary then
followed by the Vauxhall Cresta and a triumph vitesse 2000, just loved those
