i bet,ps the "stays/straps further up,is that a valance off job??

No mate they are designed to fit through the valance the holes are already in the frame rail. You have to reach inside the rail from the left and right hand ends to get the nut on.

cheers for that,i recon i may stand a chance at bolting it on,as i couldnt fit original toyota abar,as it only had 2 bolt holes for the big bracket,but sumone has snapped 2 in the rail,but this one has 4 hmmmm u never know

Mount the bottom brackets first. Then use the L shape brackets to attach the bar leave everything finger tight, it will then slide left or right to centre. Then fit the stay supports through the valance tighten everything, job done.
