  • The MOT was 2day

well then 2day was my MOT.
I drove her round for a bit and then straight in.

The back end off the exhaust is like one big hole haha
That helped with the emmissions tho as half of it went out before it got to the machine lol.....

Other than that she flew through.... YAY..!....
Just an advice on that exhaust..

So with another years MOT it is time to get her dirty again.
One day at the time I guess..

Good to hear it, I know about MOT's and exhausts, mines being done on Saturday, and apart from that mine also flew through.

Not bad for a 20 year old car that get used every day, and goes up and down the Welsh mountains

Yes failed it, but I don't have the rear section, or anything past the silencer, so the exhaust terminates under the rear seats, so not to standards I suspect

I had a new (ish) one organised but didn't have the money for it before the MOT ran out, so I'm getting it sorted on Saturday, and getting the retest next Saturday.

Well that makes a little difference I suppose...
mine the back pipe leading to it had about a 2ft long hole in it.
Hav a new-ish back section including the box coming next week so will need to put that on.
Then today tho after the MOT water starts ####ing out and the metal radiator pipe (from bottom to top) has a hole grinded in it.
Think the kind MOT man might hav pulled it a bit.
One day at the time I guess..

I got my Surf a year ago now.

I did an oil change, put a new timing belt on, then ran it for 25,000 miles without any other maintenance.

Went through an MOT last week with nought but an advisory on one tyre. I think it's the first vehicle I've ever owned where I didn't get a fail for something first time around.

            Toyota Surf- gotta love 'em!

I wasn't so much concerned with being rude, as concerned with the longevity of his engine.
