Downtime

We have (well the hosting comapny has) found a virus in the software which has come from the hosting company and need to sort it out ASAP, so do they.
They need to shut down the server to sort it out and rebuild it as do we with the forum software.
We need to rebuild the database as its being eaten away and we are losing vital stuff.
The hosting company invisages it taking two weeks for them to sort and rebuild everything.
We are are trying to find a short term fix to keep it running but its not looking good so far, as we have only just had notice from the hosting company on this.
Expected to go down approx 1500 hrs today.

2 Weeks is Unnacceptable for a Hosting company to Rectify this problem in my Opinion. At least we have the other place when the Forum is down.

I agree, 2 weeks is simply unacceptable. I hope that there is some form of Service Level Agreement in place so that you can claim some money back from the hosting company.

Either way, I hope the fix goes OK, and we're back on-line ASAP.
