Yep, I just vented my spleen at Sainsbury's after seeing the hike in veg oil prices.

Why the hell do they have to raise the prices by so much in 1 go ?

My bill shot up by £14 this week

I think they now have the price of veggie oil index linked to diesel prices!

Diesel goes up, veggie goes up!

I noticed the same thing yesterday Trev when I went to get some. They are now in line with Tesco veg oil, and no doubt this has come as a result of someone realising people use it as fuel!!! Just can't beieve the rate that diesel is creeping up now that it's surpassed £1.00/litre

My rant isn't over the prices going up, but the way the prices go up, putting it up a penny or two a time is reasonable, bunging it up 77 pence in 1 hit is pure profiteering, especially for folk like us who bulk buy.

Makro have put the KTC 20 ltr up to 17.60 a go... so i went round the corner to best buy cash and carry the same 20ltr KTC oil is 15.50. Then i find they sell 1 ltr bottle for 51p per ltr. so i had a spending spree on veg

Mine's running on used stuff, it dont like it on start up but settles down after a few minuits, i aggree trev it's profieteing and nowt else, and as useual we have to sit still for it, been thinking twice about the dual tank thing i was doing, not much point if the $hit's the same price as derv, might as well just mix it,

Veg is up ..........BUT diesel is effing ridiculous, just passed a texaco garage on my way home from brighton NOW £1.19 per ltr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
