I know, but grammatical standards ain't exactly a strong point on here, so I class it as blending in.

My brand new LT 35 used more oil than my surf does, but I was told this is normal, untill the engine "settles in" at about 100,000 miles or so.

Bear in mind these diesel engines should cover 300,000 before major overhaul is required, BUT they do need oil, and the oil levels should be checked at least weekly.

Most people can't tell if a whell falls off their car while they are driving it, let alone the different engine tone when the oil is low.

I can tell when the oil gets low or old in the surf, because I can hear the tappets, whereas when it has good oil at the right level, it just sounds different (better)

If you spend £20,000 on a car, why the hell would you not check the oil??

          Still working for the man!
