Hi mateys, do you think this "tank" and the Tmax comp would do me to power the pneumatic ram (s) ?, been looking at your past post Ant, when you fitted your reciever and comp, this tmax looks very similar and the tank on the silent one dont look much different, ta,

I take it you're going to strip the comp and fittings from the tank and adapt it to fill from the new compressor.
The answer is yes, however if your misses is in and out of the truck on a regular basis you might want to find out if it is a 100% duty cycle compressor.
      otherwise it'll do just fine.

Thanks Ant, yup was going to strip the comp and stuff off, just needed to know if the tanks right size, wont be bidding on that one as it's too far away and i'm skint, i'll ask about the Tmax comp tho, i thought it was the same as some on here had bought, it wont get a lot of use tho,

Looks good to me, with a good compresser you may get away with no tank.

One here might be worth looking at, unless you've already bought one of those on Ebay.

Hi mate, think i'd prefer a tank as you never know what else i'll dream up have you had time to sort out the rams yet? i was going to email you but your profile stated you did'nt want to recieve emails and there was no pm
option there, you can mail me on
ian.price90@ntlworld.com if you would rather not mention money on the open forum, or if you had second thought about selling em dont worry i wont be offended, should have funds in a couple of weeks,
i did'nt bid on that comp as it's too far away to collect, it went for £51 in the end, there'll be others along tho, just wanted to make sure the size was ok,
                  cheers ian,

It's similar, but different. Mine is a viair 480c main difference is the price.
If i didn't have one already i'd go for either of the 2 above.

Sorry mate for not getting back to you, been busy with the kids, and tinkering with the truck (veg oil heat exchanger) I have found a couple of rams, and i think i have a few more. so far 50mm stroke, 100mm dia and 100mm stroke and 63mm dia, think i got some 100mm stroke x 100 dia in the deepest darkest parts of me cupboard.

ill sort it so it can be seen

No worries Shane, no rush on this, once i've sorted out the bedroom so the new dog dont get under the floor or bite a live wire i'll start working out a pivoting arrangement, just one question tho, am i right in thinking ya can stop the ram at any given point, if you know what i mean, sort of before it reaches the end's of its travel? (either way)

yes to a point if you fill it slowly, then it will lift slowly and you can stop at any point during the fill. but it wont be totally stable, may be a little soft or bouncy.

                              Popeye,,

Me and Joker got hold of the TMAX compressors - I've been well impressed, used it for loads of stuff. Comes in a nice little case too
