Where is the earth to engine strap?

Think my altenator is away but wanted to exhaust evry free solution i can first.

Ive one waiting to be sent but if i can get this one going again it'd save me money i dont have.

if your block earth was dodgy carl,you wouldnt be able to start or turn the thing over,if your ammeter dont move,check the fuses,including the 7.5 amp one and if all is fine its the alternator
