too much money, and no talent. zombie films aint what they used to be.
Couldn't agree more. None of them are. They think that chucking generated effects at a film makes it these days, and pay sod all attention to acting/detail. It's very rare I watch films these days. Talentless t1ts, most of 'em. And by god, do they know how to ruin a classic film with remakes.

dawn of the dead remake was good. not as eerie as the original.
think thats the only remake i've ever liked.
some original independent films have been good but then big money corporations get hold of the rights to it and whore it off into sequels that are shoit. Clerks, brilliant film...then Clerks 2 may be an exception though.

Can't think of one remake which ain't made me wince, to be honest. Worst ones of all time definitely have to be The Ladykillers, Time Machine and the Italian Job though. Absolute disgrace those three. Biggest gripe with the Time Machine was the fact that they thought nobody would be bothered about a continent change.
i can think of 2 that were better than the originals. The Fly (jeff goldblum) and Invasion of the Bodysnatchers (with donald sutherland).
other than that i can't think of anymore that have been.
I'd forgotten about The Fly. Have to agree on that one. (Just due to the really crappy special effects on the original ). I'd put Body Snatchers roughly on a level par though, personally.
