Having chooks means we have a few rats now and again so what i do is put poisen down and set a few traps every night just to keep them under control. Have no problem in doing this except for 1 poor little rat who is blind. He comes out into the pen in daylight as he has no idea were he is or weather i am standing there or no. So my dylema is i have had plenty off chances to finish him off but cant bring myself to do it as its not fairgame is it. What would you lot do, and be honest please, no manly answears like ye i would shoot the fecker.

Hit it with a shovel.........it's a rat, and may have Weils ......i think thats the right spelling

I one way, it's a suffering animal and the decent thing to do is put it out of its misery.
On the other hand, its a naffin rat, kill it, even if its in the peak of health..
