Ah good stuff, fingers crossed, do keep us posted. The body is an amazing thing! I had a head injury years ago, nothing that serious, but stayed 'alert' till arrived at the hospital, then my body just shut down - had the doctors a little worried which made them take x-rays, but I recovered pretty quick soon after.

Message from her Mum this morning that Sarah is awake, and being moved out of intensive care to a ward sometime today.

Great news, but trying not to get over excited as she still has a long way to go.

We've had a long conversation with Sarah's dad (Motrav on here) this afternoon. She has woken up today, has been able to drink some water with assistance, has responded to requests to move specific parts of her body, and is able to understand what is being asked of her, which are all good signs. She has not spoken properly yet, other than to vaguely ask about Hector (Her horse, ), but that may well be due to her very sore throat from all the tubes.

It will take some time for the sedation drugs to woke their way out of her system, and she will need a significant period to recover.

She has been moved out of intensive care onto a specialist neurological ward this afternoon and is likely to be moved back to a hospital nearer home sometime next week if she continues to progress well. Her dad will be staying at Sarah's house for the next week or so, and will be taking care of the dogs. Sam is staying with her mum.

                                This evenings extra update..
In a nutshell, she's been awake for about a half hour (longest time yet), has spoken to sam on phone, she seems to swinging between almost normal and very disorietated but has had proper food and drink and is now asleep for the night.
