Apache - yeah I kinda know what you mean with the visualisation thing, but it's best not to think about it. But horses do have some big muscles! compared to our puny bodies hehe. But a fall is different, all depends how and on what you fall.

When I was at school a guy got kicked right in the face! Luckily he only got a cracked cheakbone (they put in a small metal plate),but you could barely see the scar after. Doctors did a very good job!

Nah, never liked horses. I have an analytical mind and can visualise the damage they can do to my soft tissues!

Hope Sassy's on the road to recovery soon Tony.

She was in the school at stables, not sure if she was on Big Hector, or Little Hector (only Sarah could end with two horse with the same name)

Big Hector is her T/B horse, she had him years, can bee a little spooky, but normally great, and she knows his little things. I'm hoping to ride him soon!! Eek! He's the one that normally breaks bits of Sassy.

Little Hector is a new pony, who she's teaching, but he's been good as gold so far.

oh the bit above about the whipping is in no relation to Sassy BTW! just those moslty caucious newbies who get over-zealous with either the reigns or the whip etc. Think Apache may have gotten chomped as a kid?

Never liked horses. Mean spirited things with no concept of the value of human lives...
while this isn't a post for humour, how would you like someone jumping on your back and whipping you?

but PLEASE note - I do like riding myself, and am more concerned about your friend than it might at first appear, I do hope she recovers quickly! and my thoughts are with her. Do let us know how it goes, but I'm sure she'll be fine. She was seen to quickly and is in good hands. Thanks.
