Please can you help?
Is it normal to have to press the red button before putting stick into drive when I first start up the vehicle even when the ignition is on?
This is what I am having to do and not sure if it is normal?

Check your brake light bulbs

Assuming your foot in the on the brake when you try an move the gear selector - then no its not right you have to use the lil red button!

If you dont have your foot on the brakes when you try an change gear -

with your foot on the brake aswell??

O I see. I did not realize you had to keep your foot on the brake pedal.
I thought as long as the hand brake was on it would be OK.
Yes this is my first 4x4.
And first auto.
