What is manual fluid ? manual transmissions usually have oil.

ATF doesn't come in WT ?

BTW. The W in oil ie. 20w stands for winter.

if your using that much veg oil, is it pre-heated to thin it down a bit?
i always use white spirit in my veg mix now so that my pump doesnt leak at all. you could try this

found out its the seal on the engine block side !

so just put order in at milners for seal kit and cam belt, and book'ed in at local garage for this week

about 32 quid for parts and garage is charging 80 quid for the job !

Get it on paper that they are only charging you £80! For a fuel pump off job, that is VERY VERY cheap!!

it does mean weight.

the first number with the "W" is the cold viscosity, so in winter you may need to use a thinner oil (5w/40 rather than 10w/40)

10w/40 would be a 10 weight oil that won't thin more than a 40w oil at operating temperature cos it has new fangled polymers in it.

yea thery my fathers mates who own the place its only a small garage but i was expecting at least 150,

i could probley do it my self but i know fine well it would take me propa ages, and 80 quid is worth not haveing a head ake and been up to your eye balls in oil and diesel !

I have a feeling it may not be as simple as just taking the pump off, replacing the seal and putting it back. Havn't I read something on hear about having to have the pump calibrated?
