ive installed windows vista, and ive been looking for days for the earthquake and volcano sidebar gadget that lets you know whats going on almost instantly....
although if it was felt where i live - i slept through it.
seismologists say that an earthquake mainly happens on fault lines. but can happen anywhere in the world at any time...
from what i understand, there must be like a pocket under the earth that has moved or collapsed or something. your lucky if you felt it, probably wont happen again! although for some, this is the 2nd time round! haha

im not completely discarding a government conspiracy

iam just a guy that worked in wierd places for 9 years (we have 3 under ground base's to my knowlage)

They've turned em over to ordnance dumps an took the harriers to Wittering and Cottesmore and good old down town Kandahar Afghanistan ! Mind you Marham and Scampton sometimes look submerged as well !
