Very happy tonight, L's truck hasn't feel quite right for ages now, and MPG was down, lots of redex, filter changes, etc..... but while its not anything you could put your finger on, its just not felt 'right' if you know what I mean.
Tonight I pulled the little gauze filter out from behind the fuel temp sensor on the fuel pump, and EEK!!!! .........

Now it looks like this......

Took the truck for a quick test, and to get a kebab, and wahoo!! What a difference, stunning, very happy.
Scary thought for the day, everything inside the fuel pump up to this filter, which is last thing the fuel goes through before pipes to injectors, must look the same.

I know we have cack in the tank, cos every so often it blocks the pipe from the tank to the filter and the truck dies, and I have to blow back up the fuel pipe with an airline to clear it, but didn't think anything noticable would make it past the fuel filter, but there you go......
