But hat off Rod for being mad enough to go for it
There is more clearance then it seems. Bare in mind (especially the rear tyre) they are designed to go into the wheel wells rather then the arch. Im 100% with you that its not going to be awesome flex'd out. But b*llucks to it !

Intercooler is next on the list of mods! It wasnt cheap - i had to pay a garage to get some of the work done due to time restrictions - plus the weather was cr*p.

I spent about £600 on lift bits. i fitted as much as i could myself but still got a bill for £500 off a garage for loads that i couldnt.
£1150 on wheels an tyres fitted + wheel nuts.

I'll sort out what i got with links in a mo.

Cheers for all the comments guys! I appreciate it. Im glad i deceided to take it to its limits. It looks just awesome. as long as theres no axle twisiting stuff - off road it should be fine. I had it around my uncles in the country today an it only rubbed on a bit of plastic that needs cutting out anyway!

If anyone wants to come an see it.... just give me a shout!

                            well rod,

i have spent most of the weekend on the surf, doing bits, cambelt, oil and so on,and while i was looking at the rear springs(lc) i wondered if it was possible to put spacers on them.with the body lift this would give me about 7-71/2 inches of lift, coupled with bigger bj spacers and tweaked torsion bars, i reckon i could squeeze 35's on and still keep good articulation.i really dont want to lose the offroad ability i have as the poomobile can twist up rather well,ie i can get a wheel on top of a ton bag of aggregate and the other three still stay on the ground, going to think long and hard about it

have to say though rod looks feckin AWESOME DUDE !!!!!!!

I do have to be honest. Im not sure how much 'stick' it would take off road before it properly busted somet up big time!!!

ive read time an time again that 35" is as large as you should go on IFS. An it will still cause problems if you bash the cr*p outta it.

It would be a total pain in the ass if you went to the pryanees (did i spell that right?) an found your surf was a bit.... iffy on 35's

If you want to talk to be about anything regarding them mate, PM away!!! I appreaciated your help in the 1st place with your opinion on 33's
