  • OME steering stabiliser

My Old Man Emu stabiliser arrived a few minutes ago. For your info. it was cheaper than the Poocomp one and probably twice as good! The shocks are next. Anyone want to browse: www.tbruk.com
Will be fitting within the next day or so and will let you know how she drives.
    cheers,
    chris

No, the shocks are about £64 ea. and as far as I know are only available in one size and are suited to their +40mm springs. Pricy but quality and designed for purpose.

          Hi Bushwacker,
Just been to check the Explorer site and the Poocomp ones are £54.10.
There is Gabriel at £30-odd though.

Procomp do two. A 'standard' one, and a heavy duty. I have the HD on my truck and it makes the big tyres controllable. With the OEM one, the steering bounced all over the place!

Fitted easily enough- for those who have had the steering recall done recently- it will make it easier to remove the ball-joint from the original steering damper.
The OME damper then just bolts on without the original ball-joint.

Er, just so nobody is confused:
                    OME- Old Man Emu £49.99
OEM- Original Equip. Man. (the one on your truck)
                    Procomp. HD- £55.10
Gabriel- £36.25 (Procomp do not make this and it`s biased towards road-use.)

Therefore, the cheaper OME one is a better deal as it`s easier to fit and will last longer than the Procomp one. (sorry, poocomp!)

I fancy getting one of those 'return to centre' stabilisers, but I can't find the link at the moment, any one got it in their favorites?
