  • 2nd Generation rear tail light conversion

Does anyone know where I can get clear tail lights for a 2nd Gen Surf?

I've been hunting on the tinterweb but can only find conversions for the '96-'02 models.

    Clear Rear Light Units.

    Hi
I Called Roughtrax in Bristol last Friday and was told that they may have some in Mid to late March and that they need to confirm that they are the correct Fitting for a MK2 Surf. Check them out later this month.

You will need to check which type you have - some have reversing lamps built into the unit, others have the reversing lights in the number plate surround. Mainly depends if you have a rear mounted spare.

        Clear Tail lights

Dagnamit... I've got a SSR-X with rear mounted spare

Is a reverse light easy to add?

Failing this I think I'm going to go black - I'm sure it's not strictly road legal but looks aight on a black surf (and it's easy to add/remove) ;-)

You could add a reversing light onto the tailgate, you can get flush mounted types, or cut one into the bumper. You would need to modify the wiring to the lamps but it should be easy enough to do.

          Cheers

Hi, Its a 4" Trailmaster Suspension lift imported from the U.S. and fitted by Specialis Leisure in Warrington very pleased with the quality and look but it certainly don't help the handling loads of Oversteer but you get used to it and just drive accodingly - Slowly into roundabouts !!!

Like most rear wheel drives, smooth and easy does it

You can definitely get these for a 2nd gen. I saw some on an L reg today with spare wheel carrier and they looked the dogs, but there was no one around to ask

                    Cheers, Nick

Does anyone know if these guys are still in business?

                      http://www.powerfuluk.com/Toyota_Hil...ear_Lights.htm

I have sent them emails with no reply.
Also has anyone purchased a set, and do they fit OK?
These seem to be the only clear lenses I can find to suit a second gen Surf (LN130), if there are others please let me know.

                      Thanks Doug.

                        Rear clear lights

                        Try wwwpowerfuluk.com

clear rears from £85-£100 per set for a surf generation 2.

Also have just ordered front clear bumper indicators from streetstyler.com for about $37. but they don't directley ship to the U.K.

                        Have fun BANANA
