  • 3rd Gen Ride Height.

Anyone have any info on what the measurement should be from hub centre to wheel arch on a `96 3.0 3rd gen and should it be the same both front and back?. Mine seems to be lower at the front and it seems really soft compared to my old 2nd gen. B.T.W, i don`t have adjustable shocks.

    Cheers, Ken.
God bless gaffer tape and mastic!

I have a 3rd gen to m8 welcome to the club of the elite and most envy'd

Ok when i switched to bf all terrain i did the back 1st and the ride was higher due to new tyres and the front was def lower, but since fitting the new bf all terrain to the front it's back to normal.
So check tyre tread 1st and the pressure psi

        Afternoon m8

Welcome t othe 3rd gen club. I had to change my dodgy back springs as mine suffered from droopy a*se.

Now site straight & level, gap (must admit haven't measured, just by eye) looks the same back as front. Might be worth checking what springs you have on the back or maybe the fronts are ready for changing

        hope this helps

Thanks for the ideas peepsies, I know tyre my treads and pressures are all even, so i guess i`ll have to check out the springs and/or shocks. If i`ve got to change things i might even go the whole hog and have a 2" lift.

mine seems fairly level front to rear apart from it is 1" lower on the drivers side front
my suspension is harder than my 2gen on its hard setting(my 3gen hasnt got hard soft option)

i want a +3" soft lift, any ideas anyone where can you get shocks and spring for a 3gen but not procomp as i want it soft if that makes sense, i want suspension travel not a hard ride
