  • Is this Gen2 or 3?

    A local dealer has this in at the moment - looks like a Gen3 but it is a 95N.

    "TOYOTA SURF 3.0 TD , 4 Doors, Automatic, All Terrain, Diesel, 1995 N Reg , 77,000 miles, Gold Metallic, 1 Owner.       Marky's right. Definately a 3rd gen, you can tell by the body cladding and the rear side windows.

        Thanks - thought it was but the year threw me as I thought they were all 1996 onwards.

          Hi m8 mine is a 3rd gen on a N reg as well.

          PS easiest way to tell is if they have standard exhausts 3rd gen exit on the O/S of the rear and 2nd Gen on the N/S

            3rd gen alright. What's weird though is that it has a much later front bumper/valance, 98+ I think they were fitted. You can tell because of the integral fog light and protruding lip on the lower corner.

              That's partly what threw me. I wondered whether it was some kind of crossover model with an aftermarket valance.

              Now all I need to do is persuade him that £9,995 is really £8,500!

                The later front is a straight swap onto the earlier ones seen posts about someone doing it on Yotatech.
