After 6 n 1/2 years changed glowplugs today, 2 had tips completely melted n
2 electrodes decided to break below the thread (in the head) tapped em through into the chamber enabeling all four plugs to be fitted ...
Glowplugs all sorted, n yes Woodzie the insulator's back in the right place !!!
As a x diesel Mechanic it would be silly of me to put it on wrong
Slight rattle on startup as remains of glowplug tips break up alls we now tho.

Jess , not a good idea letting the remains of glowplugs into cylinders . Hope they clear out through the exhaust valves without doing any damage.

Hi Rick, Yes well aware of that but removing Head at this stage, not a job I could do at this time or without help !!!!
I did try n remove em gently but 2 badly burnt tips disintigrated in to the chamber n the other 2 were obstructing the proper fitting of the other 2.
          Seems Ok atm .....
Fingers crossed they'll clearout the Exhaust !!!!
