Just so you dont think i've been sitting on my thumb wistleing!! i'm getting on with it, camera fitted and wireing run to the front and head unit fitted in, i was surprised that the original double din bracket's fitted straight on the new one, held up now till the freeview and aeriel arrive, then hopefully it's sound and vision,
While i'm at it i take it there's no point connecting up the multichanger to it?
(assumeing it does connect to it)

MUCK FE dude!!, looks like the starship enterprise in there, that's a nice tidy install and that cam's a whopper, thought it would be smaller than that. You should be able to use it for a bbc backup!!(news as you cruise)

You can plug the changer in if you've got a CDC input or an extra AUX in on the unit.

Good work Ian, where's the F/V box going?

Cheer's Ant, yeah the camera is a bigun, did you get the same one yet for the boat trailer?
couple of questions! their is a wire on the unit (blue) marked "BACK", wot's that for,? (backup?) instructions are basic to say the least and translation from chinese is ammuseing,
as for the multi-changer, it would be nice to refit it but not sure how, it has two audio "jacks" red & white, and also a "din" plug (if thats the right word) there aint a din plug plughole in the unit so can i not use it? now's the time to sort this stuff out before i replace the dash, i'll list the jacks as they appear in the instructions if it's any help,
      plug 1,
      AUX R in (red)
      AUX L in (white)
      AUDIO R out (red)
      AUDIO L out (white)
      VIDEO in (red)
      VIDEO 1 out (red)
      VIDEO 2 out (red)
      plug 2,
      FR out (red)
      FL out (white)
      RR out (red)
      RL out (white)
CAMERA V in (red) (connected up)
Camera power (thin red wire, connected up)
      AMP control (thin yellow wire)

all the speakers and power wires are connected (but not try'd yet, need some heatshrink)

To be honest mate i don't know, i wouldn't think i would be anything to do with the camera as all that needs is a live feed from the reverse light, video rca to the head unit and an earth. Is it the handbrake wire to stop the tv being used when driving? if it is i just connected mine to earth which allows the tv to be used any time. See if theres any voltage from it when the unit is powered up before you try it earthed.
Oh and as for the multichanger you will need the input lead connected to the head unit too. Mine had a sony changer and the head is sanyo so just got an adapter and hey presto. I have since removed the changer as it got wrecked in the boot and i use mp3 to get rid of all the discs that get jammed in bits of the truck where they shouldn't.
Didn't get the camera yet but will soon.

Ian, I dunno about camera wires or a multichanger mate. I'm one of those impatient sods who wants his new toy fitted a.s.a.p.

It's normally out of the box, a quick shufty at the instructions (sometimes) and bish, bash, bosh it's in! 9 times out of 10 I'm just lucky and it works first time!

Still haven't got my 6 x9' fitted yet. I work better in the warmth!

Cheer's guys!!! yup it's getting heavy'er by the day, no saggy arse yet tho, and the spinach keeps me going, i must be the only person in the world (apart from popeye) that actually likes the stuff,
well Ant you got me wondering now! never thought about live feed from reversing lights, picking one up's no prob but not sure where to connect it now, i'll do some testing on the red camera wire from the head unit when i power it, see if it's live all the time or what, no mention of rev light feed in the instructions, perhaps you have to select camera manually, which will be a pain, multi changer can go then, i'll have to go for an MP3, camera had buggerall instructions but for £6 odd what can i expect,
i like takeing my time Jim, solder one wire, have a fag, solder another,
what did you do with your blue (back) wire, leave it? hope to christ the F/V box and didgi aeriel have instructions,
emailed the head unit seller to enquire about GPS up grade but they say this model wont support it, bugga!!

Freeview and aerial are a piece of cake, Freeview is power (red and black)
an extension remote receiver(just plugs in) and rca connects.

Aerial is just power (red and black)
                      and of corse coax plug.

As for gps, my unit has a video in for gps but apparently there isn't a gps unit on the market that has rca outs on it, so useless anyway.

So in a nutshell all the hard bits are now done so when the rest of the bits arrive, get some more pics of the finished install up so you can make others jelous and only crave for a setup like only the elite few are blessed withD

thank god for that then, actually i think one or both came this morning while we were out, card in the door, always the bl00dy same aint it,
when i've seen the f/v box i can decide there to stick it but hopeing to stick it just under the head unit if it aint too big and judgeing by your pic i dose;nt look massive,
So what next??????? an amp? my 6x9 in the back are just run off the original
speaker wires via those amps already in there which i still dont know if they work or not, sound was;nt too bad before i started faffing about so guess i'll see,
i'll stick some pic's on when it's all fitted and turned on, unless it goes bang, then there wont be any pics
