I am still hoping to get involved with a SE response group, looking to change jobs soon so hope to have more spare time!

Hi Alan, I've been planning on joining them soon too. Hope they get some momentum to get off the ground. Was planning to wait until I get a winch sorted etc. but I guess it doesnt hurt to join now

      Sweet.

Edit: Just noted one thing. Where it says: 'To download the Registration form click here.', there isn't a link to the form.

hiya guys, well im the training officer for humber-yorks4x4response, and also commitee member. we have a £10 joining fee for the year which gets you responder status on the forum/hi viz kit/public liability insurance. we have 3 levels of responder. basic intermediate and advanced this is so we can send the correct people to what ever situation we are dealing with. at level advanced you can attend all callouts, at level basic you need to be supervised by a highr level responder so as you dont get yourself in to trouble. we cover a huge area in the east/west yorkshire districts. we also have very good relationships with all the emergancy and council services in these areas aswell. we have responded to many incidients travelling as far as gloucster when the floods happend, we also helped massivley in the hull floods. we also do a lot of charity work to raise our profile, with that we have had a lot of media coverage in various off road mags and calander news aswell. on the training side of things for your £10 you get full training days at various offroading sites for FREE like KORC/TONG in west yorkshire plus a few others, the subjects covered are offroading/ recovery (winch/self recovery/ offroad recovery/ on road recovery/beach recovery) search and rescue/ vehicle maintainence and safety/ vehicle equipment/ navagation skills/ loading/unloading trailers and reversing skills with trailers/ and many more subjects so you do get a lot for your money on the training side also all my instructors are fully qualified to teach the above subjects and have the correct certificates. if anybody would like to know more or need any help with setting up there own response group please get in touch.

As some will know I now drive a ShedRover.
So if anyone is serious about this rescue recovery lark, then you are more than welcome to attend Drunclog on a regular basis. There you will get all the practice you will ever need recovering me
