  • Trip to Poland!

Oh well, big girl is in Poland now after 22 hours of easy driving. She gave back 31 MPG measured at 1000 miles distance with average speed of 60 mph. She did not burn any oil at all and was going like tank. Here's few pictures from trip, unfortunatelly we was travelling at night time across Europe, so not too many pics from Netherlands or Germany :p

    England
    Motorway

    Shiney

    Dover

    Dunkerque

    Belgium

    Netherlands

Netherlands gas station - 75p/litre diesel!

Poland, trying to be local BP hehe

Classic roads, 4x4 getting trough no problems hehe

    National Express? :O

    Looong bridge!

Big girl properly parked at my moms

And as I do not want you to think Poland is grey and sad, I will include few pics of my home town old town part. Enjoy

          traffic!!!!!!!!!

notice from the photos the amount of traffic in uk and the further you get away the traffic gets less and less. i love driving abroad, no traffic jams and on the correct side, the right!!!!

I would love to make a trip like that in the Surf. I'm planning on traveling to Cornwall in the Surf this year. Sort of a pilgrimage as Laura and I went on our first holiday together 34 years ago to Watergate Bay (not many surfers in those days).

I could take my BMW but I've got a hankering to take the Surf, bound to work out twice as expensive but what the hey? Anyhoo I wouldn't get any green laning done in the beemer!

Sorry Richard, Cyprus calls for the first 2 weeks in September mate and Laura wouldn't swap 2 weeks on the beach in Cyprus for 2 weeks of mud and green laning! (Come to think of it, neither would I)!
