  • is this right?

    posting this before setting off to work, wont be able to reply till this evening.

    Just wanted to know if this looked right and how easy of a mod it would be on a 2nd generation. I've never had the front off my Surf (yet).

    Its OK, saves having a hole in the bonnet, but the pipework is more hassle, and technically, shorter intake with a top mounted intercooler is better for performance.

    But it will be colder there than over the engine.

    Planty of room behind the bumper, most prossionally fitted kits put it there.

      As Tony says, more efficient at the front.

      But prone to getting clogged with mud if you go off road - that's why most OEM's fit them on top - slightly less efficient but never get clogged - mines been on for nearly 2 years and I never had to clean it and that truck has seen some mud.
