  • Compressed air?

With an on board tank, should i be displaying a "compressed air" sticker on the truck somewhere. I never really gave it a thought until my mate who is a welder put it to me. Apparently any vehicle carrying gasses of any kind should be displaying the appropriate badge. I believe it's in case of an accident or fire and fire services will know to stand well back in anticipation of the BIG BANG!!

Legally you should, but only when actually carrying comp. air. However new range rovers( and many others) have compressors and air tanks for the suspension as standard but carry no stickers...
      it's in me shed, mate.

        Releif Valve

Do you have a relief valve / overpressure valve fitted.

They are pretty easy to fit. If the vehicle is involved in a fire or a hot summer's day ( Maybe not in the UK ) it simply lets the excess pressure out.

Try a pneumatic/hydraulic/compressor supplier or even a commercial diving supplier as we fit them to our compressors air reservoir for commercial diving.

        Cheers Matt

Right, should be ok without then as it only ever goes up to 180psi and yes there is a pressure relief valve fitted to the tank, Which wouldn't be much use if an artic hit me up the arse.
