i had that kit on my old 2.4 and to tell the truth its not worth having the torsion bars on a 2" lift. You will actually get approx 1.5" lift with that kit.
I found the torsion bars a sod to fit and not worth the extra money on that size lift.

The standard torsion bars you have on the truck will be ok wound up 1.5"

Theoretically less possible problems with gas, but reliability wise, either should work perfectly well. I think gas shocks have a slightly faster response time too.

          buy some tyres first!

and take the side steps off.

uprated springs on back and your good to go,

New set of tyres to be ordered this week, cant decide if i want new wheels as well.

Will I be able to get anything bigger than 31s if I lift by 2"

            BTW I like my sidesteps.

you may be able to squeeze 32's on but i think it will still be a bit tight with 2" unless you plan on doing a bodylift also then you will be ok.Ideally for 33's you want a 4" lift
