As it is now -

3.5 rover v8
holley carbs
zorst stack now replaced with independent twin pipes (as in the 2nd pic) - totally separate pipe for each bank of cylinders, apparently made possible by having the holley. Whatever it does for performance (or not) it sounds feckin awesome
stupid big lift (4-6" suspension + 3" body IIRC)
36x15.50 simexes / 38.5x11.50 TSL Swampers depending on which ones the owner is keeping at the time and which he's gonna put back on ebay when he gets round to it.

only arse now is that it's not very waterproof, the snorkels aren't connected because of the holley, and were fitted when it still had a 2.2 NA diesel (hiace) in (first pic)

I'm undecided, i like the pickup, but for the sole reason that i fancy a project at some point in the future to take a bit off the rear of the rear tub, but also a bit out the front of the tub.

Haven't even started thinking about how complicated it's gonna be or assessed just how much work is gonna be required but a single cab with an extra cab tub on is one way i would like to investigate further, shortening the chassis to suit - assuming of course that the tub is shortened slightly to fit the extracab into the same overall length. I know at the moment it's way out there and just a mad idea but if it were possible it could really make an awesome offroader (thinking winch challenge vehicle) out of a pickup with a shortened wheelbase.

I had a 2.4 Mk IV double cab before i swaped it for the surf last year

Twas good fun in the rough without any mods other than some decent tyres.

Still miss it at times

hey nero ive got a holley carb box that i made for stein that takes the snorkle.i dont need it anymore so if your mate wants one give me a pm.if you wanna see what it looks like,look at the piccys i put up a week back.as for the pick up option who in their right mind would want one of those things.DD
