The truck was booked in today to get brake calipers replaced & glow plugs done (including the break in the wires).

Went to start it and whir!!!!!!

Bl00dy starter motor has gone

Now waiting for garage to come and collect it

Did you try to move and tighten up battery clamps? I had a whir in my Supra some time ago and this also should indicate starter motor, but it was only loose and dirty battery clamp.

Cleaned all battery connections the other day as have been having trouble starting for few weeks now. Had assumed it was the suffed glow plugs, now not so sure

Oh dear looks like it on to rough trax for a refurb kit!! Suck when they go wrong , you know, i know what it like!!! Did you ask make about my bash plate?

Have you checked the main battery earth where it connects to the chassis?
That can cause the same symptoms as a knackered starter.
