  • Went to main dealer!

For the first time ever i went to the main dealer 'Toyota Perth' because i was having trouble finding the bolts i needed with the correct thread pitch. Anyway, they didnt have a clue how to find me a part number. They went on the pc and kept saying "yours is a 2002 right"? I said no a 92, so they said " yes 92 - 2005" so i said no thats wrong.

I then tried to explain it was a 2nd generation to see if that would prompt theyre mind cogs. Nope they pulled up a pic of a 3rd gen. So i thought ok its an LN130, again a search and they said we need a frame number, so i said ln130 should be enough to get what you need as its only 2 chassis bolts.

In the end they asked me to come around to the pc and see if i recognised anything. When i got them away from the 2002 they where still looking at, i got the list and there was ln130. They said "yes but look there is a few, we need to know what whole number is". Anyhoo i showed them that the part number was the same on all variants. FINALLY!!

Then they said ok hang on while we get them ordered for you, 15 minutes later parts guy comes out and says " can i help you"? He'd ruddy well forgot what he said to me. They are now on order and i pick em up tommorow, £2.04p each, not bad plus my hours labour finding the stupid fings.

Are all toyota dealers this poor

In original thread someone stated 1.5mm thread pitch.

I coulda hunted for 1mm if I'd known.
