  • height isn't even.

hi all, i have had +2" springs fitted today and told the mechanic that the taller spring goes on the drivers side.
ive just measured the heights and the passenger side is sitting 1/2" higher than the drivers side, may this even out after it has settled for a while or do you think they have put the springs on the wrong side ?

yeah, i would guess they were fitted wrong

Its hard to tell just by looking at the roughtrax springs as to which is taller so they may have just messed up!

If your unhappy ask them to change it over, But if you can live with it - then dont worry.

let the springs settle for a week or two then re-measure.if its still to high get him to swap them over.

                    Half an inch???

                    Wow, thats anal!

As Stein said, let them settle. If its still a gnats knacker out, try winding the torsion bar a turn or two on the low side. It lifts the back slightly too.

65 litres of fuel could easily make a 1/2" difference, if either of mine sat that level i'd be impressed.

You'll probably just park on a kerb anyway, that'll even it out

Mine's wonky too. Always has been. Managed to level it roughly with the torsion bars, but depending what I'm carrying, it still leans one way or t'other.
