  • Nice Landcruiser, but very expensive indeed!.......

Very nicely prepped Landcruiser, but £30,000 for a 9 year old truck = ouch man!

I concur. Lovely motor, but if I was spending £30k I'd do it from scratch.

£37K to build, it does seem a huge amount of money???

Very nice though, but not for £30K

Even at £20K I would think it was expensive.

The tent is V. similar the one's we used in S.Africa last year, likewise with the fridge. That is one well spec'd vehicle - but £30Ks worth, I don't think so; doubt he's spent more than 4K sorting the truck out with that lot!

Attached Picture is from our trip last year, where I discovered that the Nissan Hardbody ain't anywhere as good as a Surf!!!

He's an LC forum member and had it up for £5,800 with no takers, I guess he will have a high reserve on it.

It is very nice though, I want it too

I'm sure if you go to Frogs Island, Devon 4x4 etc and ask them to build you from scratch the ultimate expedition vehicle, by the time they've sourced the base vehicle, stripped it, rebuilt it and added all the best off road bling money can buy you'll be getting there.

Yeah when you add up the price of the roof rack (500 ish), the Rear Bumper (£700 ish), the suspension upgrade, the drawer system, the fridge, the front bumper, the winch, the spots, the tent, the gel batteries, the shower, the snorkel, etc....

Reckon you are talking around £7,000 for all the major bits, plus then there is all the little bits that add up and the labour and the base vehicle which on a 99 last model run out 80 series 24 Valve, 5 speed manual will probably in Very good condition set you back the thick end of 9K even now, plus if he had it built at a decent place - TBR, Frogs Island or maybe Devon or OEC then it won't be cheap.
