just a quick one the grey auto selecter does it come off after you take screw out at the bottom or is it held on another way many thanks in advance.

just a quick one the grey auto selecter does it come off after you take screw out at the bottom or is it held on another way many thanks in advance.

If i rember rightly takeing the screw out enables you to lift the top (plastic) part off as far as the overdrive button wire will allow, i'm sure you can lift it over the steel lever, disconnect the wire's to remove it altogether, you need to get underneath and disconnect the link rod to remove the plate altogether,
after you've took the nob off the hi/low lever
