Disconect it,makes stealing the vehicle as easy as taking candy from babies,
1-yes it will let the engine run on a timer to prolong turbo life,BUT is also a theifts way to start the vehicle to steal it without even moving the cowl on the steering colum as the wires that go to the tt already bypass your ignition key!thats why insurance companies dont like it,plus if it did jump into gear somehow then its going off down the road and through whatever is in its way either cars, people ,kids etc

If you are worried about the engine and turbo cooling down just drive sensible for the last two miles home not putting any load on the engine do you think the engine will be better off sat still running for five min?-no it will be getting hotter as no air is moving around.
