Do you work for your local council.? Have they implemented single status???
At Argyll and Bute council they are going introduce different pay grades,core hours 06.00-22.00hrs,5 days over 7 etc.

Anyone have experience of single status????

well I don't know whats going on up there but my local council went through singal status in 1997. We got stiffed with time & 2/5ths instead of time & 1/2 plain time for any sickness leave & holiday pay etc.

It sounds more like job evaluation to me. Our council are doing this at the moment, peoples jobs are been regraded, trying to get rid of bonuses etc.

Sick pay is a special payment made when you have run out of holidays and need extra time off

Bonus is a payment scheme where they pay the woman less than the men thus leaving the council open for being sued

Enhanced holiday pay, that was a brilliant scheme whereby my council decided to make some jobs have "contractual overtime" thereby forcing you to work over 37 hours, the downside was that they had to pay you overtime for being on holiday

Shiny shock rods would be nice if they stay shiny, unlike the procomp rusty rods! They're best hidden under boots.
