    well electric went off the other day for 11hours 40mins so i decided to fire
    these up

      Luckily the wife bits not till this september, but ssshhhh she might still hear you, she got ears in the back of her head, or is that eyes.

                    i used to have a stationary mamod engine that worked off meths on a fixed metal chassis that one could bolt various machinery to it which was driven by a belt from the engine.bit of a pain though waiting for it to get up a head of steam.

                        Mamod! Now theres a blast from the past. These were great. I remember the stationery ones were built on a baseplate that had the same hole spacing as Meccano, so you could use them to drive a meccano model!

                              i had the mammod steam train with steel track used to have it running round the garden. as mentioned i still remember the smell awell !!
