got a j reg 2.4 surf auto was great till this week. can anyone point the way forward for me. sudenly power loss on a hill and management light comes on. fine for a while although today its happened again mostly on hills fine on flat when cruising only seems to happen when i need that extra kick for a hill. dosent help when you live in the hills . turbo light comes on and all else seems ok

When was the fuel filter last replaced?
That's not necessarily the cause but it's my first thought.
It migt be worth pulling the fault codes as described here and see if that shows anything up first - http://toyotasurf.asn.au/techsite/efifaultcodes.htm=========
