Rich mate,
Im really sorry to hear you gotta let her go.
Ive always been a huge dog lover and whilst never had my own always been fond of my uncles Dogs.
I cant imagine what its like to have to endure something like that.
But i hope it goes with causing as little pain an upset as possible.
Sorry mate

Hi Rich
Just to say I’m thinking of you. In November had had the unenviable task of driving a guide dog owner and her dog to the vets to have it put to sleep. I stood and watched as the women said goodbye to her dog, companion and her independence all at once; being a big strong male I did the right thing and cried with her.
You should be proud of yourself, because you have put the dog first and ensured he does not suffer. All the very best from me and pup Chloe send a goodbye woof to Sox

Thi is sent to all guide dog owners in your position, I hope it helps,
Poem For Deceased Pets
IF IT SHOULD BE
If it be I grow frail and weak
And pain should wake me from my sleep
Then you must do what must be done
For this last battle can't be won.
You will be said - I understand
Don't let your grief stay in your hand
For this day, more than all the rest
Your love and frienship stands the test.
We've had so many happy years
What is to come will hold no fears
You'd not want me to suffer - so
When the time comes - please let me go.
Take me where all my needs they'll tend
But stay with me until the end
And hold me firm, and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.
I know in time you too will see
It is kindness you do me
Although my tail its last has waved
From pain and suffering I've been saved.
Do not grieve that it should be you
Who must decide this thing to do
We've been so close - we two - these years
Don't let your heart hold any tears..www.puppywalker.co.uk
