Anyone know how much more work is involved with a 3" body lift as opposed to a 2". ie gearstick extension, brake lines, diff spacers etc. It's for a 3rd gen.
Getting high is addictive you know!

Cheers Tony, is there a cheaper or easier way to go another 1" with mine?
Not really, you'd still need to alter all the bits. Plus I wouldn't want to get involved in 'stacking' body lift blocks, far to redneck. You'd be on your own.
The only real option is to take the 2" lift out, and fit 3" blocks and all the associated stuff. The 2" bumper brackets, rad brackets, steering extension and stuff we made would all be no good with a 3" body lift anyway.
We could maybe get away with 1" spacers on the rear springs, but I don't know how close to the limit the fornt end is, CV's and steering rack joints might not like anther 1" on the 60mm it has already.
If your having trouble with tyres rubbing, maybe do some trimming of the body work is more sensible. Or have you just bored with 60mm suspension and 2" body lift already?

Unless you're on 33s already, cos that will mean 35s then, and no turning circle and re-gearing!
PS Tony, TJM SHOCKS FOR 2" lift?
Sorry.
TJM's XGS shocks for 2nd Gens are £75 each, plus postage. they fit stock or 40mm lifts. Yet to find out if they have enough travel for 3"
Trouble is they arn't universal like the Procomps, they are specifically built for each type of truck, so you get a perfectly setup shock for that truck unlike the procomps, but only in the sizes available.

I know all the 2" stuff would be redundent so was going down the road of complete 3"lift from scratch. Wouldn't fancy sliding around on 2" + 1" spacers, too scarey. I think i might squeeze 1" spacers in the back but after nearly breaking my jaw getting the springs in i didn't really want to suffer it again.
Tyres not rubbing, i'm just loving the height, maybe i should have waited a bit longer between body and suspension lifts.
Something for me to ponder over for the next couple of months . I'll let you know when i will order the snorkel too. Thanks Tony.
Diff isn't connected to the body, so you can cross that off your list.
You're right you know, but i need some anyway cos my angles are a little to steep for my liking due to the suspension lift, so they stay on the list for now.
