    I've always wondered that.

My Q car back in the day was a Hilman Hunter GLS . 1725cc Holbay lump with twin 40 Webbers wheelspin in first 3 gears no problem.
Btw i think the line in little duce coupe is "pink slip" refering to the US registration papers. as in I'll race you for pinks ie winner gets the looser's car.

my pulsar would spin all 4 wheels in 5th gear beleive it or not, it had a short ratio ppg gearbox that cost 5k ! top speed was only 130mph but the accelleration was amazing, it would easily beat my honda vtr1000 superbike to 100 mph.

As said before, the Audi RS6 has to be the ultimate "ordinary" car

where did you get that figure from ?
3.9 - 4 seconds is what ive read, once it gets upto a decent speed though it will twist your face !
i wonder what 1/4 mile time it could do ??

It's 3.9 here but the actual times were 3.7, 3.9 and 4.1 in different conditions, i'll find the write up on it in a min.
Found one of em, the other is a full tech spec report but can't find it now. Still looking!!

but this was amazing, completly stock outside, but garrett ceramic turbo and a huuuge intercooler was approx 500bhp and(on a private m23) around 197mph!

I had an 850R - chip tuned to 300bhp, uprated turbo and 3" cat back straight through exhaust.....then an S80 T6 with custom ECU remap, same type of exhaust, but two pipes, new turbo, iridium spark plugs, ITG air filter, 355bhp, sports suspension, and a tow bar! 0-60 got down to 5.5 seconds, then blew an ignition coil.....

If I get some money and space, I'd have either the RS6+ estate or the V70R and play about with it.....
Too old to care, young enough to remember

You're not wrong there - my nephews have three Rover Coupe's between the two of them - one each to drive and one for the track ....... the 220 turbo is good for 150mph and 0-60 in 6.2 s BEFORE any modifications - which ain't at all bad for a Rover - don't half surprise a few boy racers too !

Life is too important to take seriously !
