Best method for cleaning Hilux Alloys

Hi all
I've got a 96 Hilux, pretty much identical to the blue one top-centre on this site and I can never get a decent clean done on the wheels.
It's the rough bit between each of the 3 twin spokes that I can't get clean.
I've tried Wonder Wheels but it doesn't seem to work.
Anyone used anything that they can recommend here - always think a car looks so much better with nice clean wheels on it!

i used jizer on my alloys a few years back and they come up really good. jizer is a de-greaser but seems to work really well on the brake dust and anything else.
i dont know if it will harm the laquer on your alloys though.

i have the same alloys as you and my laquer needs re doing to be honest. but a good jet wash seems to get them clean. the polish / kosovans at their hand car wash do a fab job for £12 + tip

if i had 20 people in my family all wanting to get the car done in 5 mins im sure we could do it as well

Blimey, didn't reailise you were supposed to clean them. I just drive through deep puddles....does the trick for me!

I’d never pay that much to have someone else wash my Surf.
I take it the Jet Wash every so often and even then I think I’m getting ripped off !!!

I’m far happier washing it on my own driveway.

May sound daft but have you tried cillit bang??
I use this and it's great - but don't let it dry on the alloys and also make sure you give it a good hose off.

yeah but takes ages on your own. and by the time ive got round its dried and left streaks.

ive found the best thing is get them to do it and then drive home and wax it. this way it only takes a couple hours start to finish.

they spray it down, put some cleaner on it then spray it down again. then they wash it, rince it, put some other cleaning stuff on then rinse it down. then dry it.
then they hoover and do the windows, dust off the dash and wash the rubber matts i have. its a lot for 12 quid. i try not to get it done a lot. but after an off road sesh its the thing to do
