get hold of wrecker on kent laning association or kent offroad club sites, he's kinda let it lie for a while now after first starting in july to try and get through all the redtape and stuff. I'm sure he will try and help anyone else who wants to try and carry it a bit further, but think he kinda got stumped by the redtape, he may have made some useful contacts if nothing else.

    Or have a read here:-

Definately worth trying, someone will get somewhere in the end, but it might be a long slow process. Or it might go straight through. It might be just that KLASS is such a slow forum in terms of the total number of posts per day, that anyone who looked at the forum trying to find more information about the people who would be involved would not see enough interest.

I'd definately be up for it, but i just really can't do pen pushing and red tape at the moment, it's not exactly my forte.

Hopefully someone somewhere is "getting there" and we can all jump on the bandwagon(in a good way) if not then we'll just have to go down the paperwork route!!!

If you guys manage to make a difference to one persons life, Its all worth while isnt it?

Im with Apache - no matter how much you try and help people some of them are incapable of saying 'thank you' even under hushed breath! But to hell with them. Let them do there worse. When it comes down to it - whos out there putting there life/truck on the line to help someone out for whatever cause!

                  Good for you guys! ;thumbsup:

Me and a mate were out in the summer floods last year. Rescued two cars / drivers and were looking for more. Drove into a deepish (18" or so) flood just as a soaking wet woman was trudging out the other side. Was slowing down to ask her if she wanted us to get her car out of the flood and take her home when she turned, gave us the finger and a load of anti 4x4 verbal abuse. We left her there, stupid bee-hatch.

I joined thier forum and have spoken to some of them about the interest from the kent and sussex surfers, as you say they are definately getting there but they are purposely taking thier time and trying to do it right!
( although it looks as though initial interest in having a Kent & Essex branch seems to have dropped off as there are already established groups offering the same service in essex!)
I will update this thread as soon as anyone gets any more info to me!
