Tax Cost???

Hi all, As a prospective surf owner, i'm trying to find out what it will cost to tax.

I've been putting a 4x4 off due to the tax issue, but my cousin has just got an L200 and it's costing him £10 a year more than my 1.6 Escort Estate to tax it!!!

If the tax for a surf is comparable, I may have to look into it...

The tax should only affect vehicles newer than March 2001 (not sure if the dates right but it's something like that), so all vehicles older than that still come under the old rules at about £190ish. A few people hve found that their renewals are coming through at £300ish because their surfs were imported after this date, but as far as i know everyone who has had this has phoned or written to DVLA and had their tax reduced back down to whatever the £190 ish tax band is.

the tax is the same on the 3l as the 2.4
