They will go on, but it aint recommended.

You should be looking at 10" wide rims ideally, but I believe they'll go on 8" wide ok.

i have 33 12.5.15's on 8" inch rims,i do believe boyo has the same on 7" inch rims, but all the (reputable) tyre places dont recomend anything less than an 8 inch rim,do an apache and get the 10" inch rims....awesome !!

I was hoping for a straight changeover - but now I think about it ... if I get some cheap steel 10" wheels with my 33's on - they will do great for the winter and I can them keep my 31's on my alloys for summer. i could also get my alloys recon'ed as they looking a bit tired and blistered in places.
How much will a set of 5 steels set me back??

                About £250. Try Silverline 4x4 (www.silverline4x4.com)

Thats where I got mine (as a package with 33x13.5 mud tyres) as a set of 5.

7's are pushing it for 12.5" tyres, they'll roll around on the rims when cornering, but they will go on. 8's are OK but still a little narrow vs thread width of the tyre, but 10" rims are the right size and work the best.
