  • Fuel tank stand pipe

Is the fuel stand pipe part of the level sender unit or is it separite? Also, how easy is it to get out?

I'm only getting 50L of my fuel out so figure there's a problem with something in the tank somewhere.
Do you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

If you mean the filler pipe it's seperate, the sender unit screws on (the top) a bit further forward,

        Does this help?

I'm guessin you mean the pipes highlighted red, which is the suction pipe, or the feed (and return?) from the engine if you like.

Yellow is the sender for the fuel guage.

Blue is the fuel tank breather assy.

Cheers mate, that's what I'm looking for, It's the red one.

Not easy to get at by the look of it, how much of a PITA is it to get the tank out? Or are there handy wee hatches inside the truck?

Where do you get all them pictures from?

The pics are all screen captures from the EPC (electronic parts catalogue) i paid for mine from ebay, but it's readily available for free download now too.

Haven't had to take the tank out yet, so can't help with how easy it goes in an out, don't think there's a flap, but i was wrong once before.

When you get old you get colourfull,

the tank aint too bad to remove, unbolt the bash plate, remove the flow and return pipes, make sure the breathers not running through any metal/floors, mine had a "air admittance" valve on it, loosen the filler and breather hoses
(after removeing the plastic dirt shield in the wheel arch,) support the tank on wood and a jack unbolt the six bolts and lower it watching for the wireing etc,
                        and robert's ya father's brother
