does anyone know of a web site where you can veiw a os map in close up to look for any BOAT in an area, my maps are all pre NERC

cheers get a map from o/s is a help so i just found out, off to WHSmiths tomoz to update my map collection

Chances are the maps haven't been updated since NERC came in anyway. Best thing you can do is find your local RoW office phone number to check the status with them.

Good advice, don't forget a map will not show a Traffic Regulation Order whereas the ROW office should know all that's off limits.
