last night i was at east croydon station waiting for me bl00dy train when i heard the sweet sound of a diesel engine idling..
it was as sweet as the land rover v6s diesel or the audi v6 turbo diesels
i turned round and there stood a new southern train (passenger not cargo!) doing the where ever from, to london bridge!
i walked over to get a better look and it had massive polished exhausts going up between the carriages.
i got a nice tasty look at the engine and turbo when it pulled away. that thing was massive!!! i think i counted 4 engines in total.

by the looks of that, i reckon they run out of normal trains because that doesnt do that route.
