Hilux surd 2440cc Diesel import

Hi everyone

I have just bought an Hilux Surf, 2440cc Diesel import off ebay, its a 92 car and I was just after some info on things to look out for and also where the chassis & engine numbers are?

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

To get parts from Toyota, you'll need the model number and frame number.

They are both on the data plate on the engine bulkhead.

The frame number is also stamped on the chassis rail on the passenger side, just behind the front wheel, its normally nice if they match!

Engine number is on a small flat bit behind/under the thermostat housing, where the head joins the block.
